Meet Marcus Hood

July 2, 2024

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marcus Hood. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Marcus , appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

In my opinion, creativity thrives on ideas. As long as you have the courage to express your ideas without fear, creativity will never run dry.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am Marcus Hood, born and raised in Pasadena, California. My life has been shaped by a wide array of experiences, from the toughest environments to some of the best Southern California has to offer. As a young man, I was known as an athlete, but I soon had to develop as a person and find a greater purpose in my life. That purpose and passion became media.

Media might seem broad at first glance, but at its core, it’s all about storytelling. The information we consume shapes our subconscious thoughts, which are tied to our emotions and develop our true selves. Media is a culmination of our past, present, and future and plays a crucial role in our spiritual evolution.

I created RelativeVisionTv & Media to serve as a platform for truth, fellowship, and knowledge through visual artistry. Powerful imagery has shaped our society alongside technology, and RVM is committed to producing purposeful content that will enhance your brand’s influence and bottom line.

Whether it’s through new events, product launches, or service expansions, RVM strives to be a meaningful leader in the media landscape, dedicated to creating content that resonates and makes a lasting impact.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey were resilience, storytelling, and strategic thinking.

1. Resilience: The ability to bounce back from setbacks and continue pushing forward has been crucial. Life and career paths are filled with challenges, and maintaining resilience helps you navigate through tough times.

Advice: Embrace failures as learning opportunities. Develop a mindset that sees challenges as part of the growth process. Surround yourself with supportive people who encourage you during difficult times.

2. Storytelling: Understanding how to convey a message effectively and engagingly is vital in media. It’s not just about sharing information; it’s about connecting with your audience on an emotional level.

Advice: Practice your storytelling skills regularly. Listen to great storytellers, analyze what makes their stories compelling, and incorporate those elements into your work. Whether through writing, speaking, or visual media, always aim to make your message resonate.

3. Strategic Thinking: The ability to plan and execute a vision strategically has been key in growing RelativeVisionTv & Media. It’s about seeing the big picture, setting goals, and making informed decisions to reach those goals.

Advice: Develop your strategic thinking by studying successful strategies in your field. Set clear, achievable goals and create a roadmap to reach them. Continuously assess your progress and be willing to adapt your plans as needed.

For those early in their journey, focus on building these skills. Stay persistent, keep honing your craft, and always think ahead. The combination of resilience, storytelling, and strategic thinking will help you navigate and succeed in your chosen path.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I am always open to partnering or collaborating with like-minded individuals and organizations. I am particularly interested in collaborating with:

1. Creative Professionals: Filmmakers, photographers, writers, and artists who have a passion for storytelling and visual artistry.
2. Brands and Businesses: Companies looking to enhance their influence and bottom line through impactful media and purposeful content.
